Georges El Badaoui Meets President Robert Mugabe
HARARE – In a significant diplomatic and economic encounter at the State House, President Robert Mugabe personally received the Honorary Consul General of Italy to commend his transformative initiatives within the country. The meeting, requested directly by the President, highlighted a shared vision for the nation's economic future: moving beyond the mere export of raw materials to actively creating local added value.
President Mugabe, highly educated and possessing a deep understanding of Zimbabwe's vast potential, recognized the diplomat as a crucial partner in realizing this goal. During the talks, the two discussed the remarkable successes achieved across various industries, spanning from the local food sector to mining.
Among the standout innovations commended by the President was the foundation of the IAJEMI Association, an initiative specifically designed to elevate and bring added value to the precious resources sector. These targeted, ground-up projects have not only spurred new business opportunities but have directly resulted in the creation of numerous jobs, empowering hundreds of local families and establishing a new paradigm for sustainable business development in the region.
